In order to apply for your AP certificate you need to comply with the procedures laid down in the MOP. (Manual of Procedure)
Furthermore you are required to familiarize yourself with Civil Aviation Technical Standards (CATS) Part 66 sub part 10, Part 24, Part 94 and Part 96.

First Application for New AP Rating

• Proof of current paid up membership of the Aero Club of South Africa and paid up membership of a Aero Club section e.g. EAA, SAGPA, MISASA etc.
•  Copy of ID document or Passport.
• 2 x ID / Passport sized photo's of applicant.
• Application form correctly and completely filled in.
• Proof of appropriate experience on aircraft and equipment over the preceding two year period.
• Proof of payment for issue of AP rating book and stamp. Payment can be made directly to the Aero Club (if paying by internet or deposit please state name and AP application).
• If examintions are required to be written you are reminded that a fee is charged. Please contact Responsible Person for details of charges, dates and venues.
• Lastly, please send your application form and supportin documents to the Responsible Person via registered mail. No email, fax, pigeon post, fork stick etc. will be accepted.

AP Renewals

• Proof of current paid up membership of the Aero Club of South Africa and paid up membership of a Aero Club section e.g. EAA, SAGPA, MISASA etc.
• Proof of appropriate experience on aircraft and equipment over the perceding two year period.
• Application form correctly and completely filled in.
• Proof of payment for renewal oAP rating. Payment can be made directly to the Aero Club (if paying by internet or deposit please state name and AP renewal).
• Lastly, please send your application form and supportin documents to the Responsible Person via registered mail. No email, fax, pigeon post, fork stick etc. will be accepted.
